Some time ago I crafted a necklace for a friend bound to leave for a long trip and intuitively chose Turquoise to find out it's been considered since ancient times a talisman for protection during travels. The focal piece of this necklace is adorned with copper shells and a boat's steering wheel symbolising the essence of voyage and exploration.
